Mattawoman Watershed Society president Dr. Jim Long received the prestigious Carl S. Weber award at the
20th annual conference of the Maryland Water Monitoring Council. The award
honors an individual that has advanced awareness, advocacy and protection of
Maryland waters. Long was recognized for leading the Mattawoman Watershed
Society and for working tirelessly for two decades to communicate the value and
status of Mattawoman Creek. The award was conferred at a ceremony during the November 21, 2014
